A Walk

The power of a simple walk...

Take one walk and so much will change. Fitting an entire routine isn't necessary if not possible but, walking at least a couple of times in a week will impact and exhibit a great and positive difference in your everyday life. It will change all that you eat, your decision skills and mental thoughts.
From physical health to mental, a fresh breath of air and a moment of peace from the world of technology and stress will have a huge impact on your life.

Here are just some of the many benefits:
- Better mood/attitude (the greatest emotional benefit of walking)
- Muscle and Bone Health/Movement
- Regular Breathing Improvement
- Improvement in Appetite
- Unhealthy Fat * Weight Loss

Though walking may seem like a petty thing, the results will be phenomenal.
The change will be ecstatic and for sure life-changing.

Beating the Cold Remedies

This current season getting sick is so easy. I myself just got over a bad cold, which obviously comes with this cold weather and dryness in the air along with, the sicknesses going around.
And I feel that the best way to fix yourself up are the natural remedies rather then always reaching for drug medications.

These are three of my favorite Cold Remedies:

- Vitamin C ~ Vitamin C intake is crucial for a strong immune system and this is one thing we all know about but don't feel it has a strong impact. Its the biggest factor in getting better; some ways of vitamin intake are;
*Supplement Drops
* Fruits and Veggies
*Juices

- Lemon, Ginger, Honey Tea ~ This natural tea will be the best cleanse and boost in immunity; a definite must when you get sick.

- Menthol Balms/Vapor Rubs  ~ These balms are essentials for a good nights sleep. Put some around your nose and temples, pull the blankets over a it'll be an instant relaxation. They are also great for normal headaches; rather than taking ibuprofen I massage my temples with these balms and I'm good to go... with no drug intake. Some Menthol balms are:
*Vick's Balm
*Tiger Balm

Hope some of these remedies help!

Vitamins & Skin Care

We know how important vitamins are for our bodies but, they also have huge impact on our skin.
The late teens is the perfect time to start taking care of your face. We have done numerous posts on good products, tips and moisturizing essentials that you can take a look at in the Beauty section...

But, we can't forget that what goes on inside shows on the outside. Healthy vitamin levels inside lead to beautiful and healthy skin.

Some vitamins to consider:
+ Vitamin A- reduces acne and wrinkles. It has had a long history in skin care, and does a great deal for the "insides" of the face (formation, growth, cells) Also, reduces redness and dryness.

+ Vitamin C- Perfect to keep away sickness and also a strong anti-aging vitamin. Reduces spots, wrinkles and acne. And, protects from damage as a "defense and repair" vitamin. A good way to use it is as a serum-- an organic Vitamin C serum/oil-- at night after cleansing for moisture and killing bacteria along with reducing spots and any aging.

+ Vitamin D- As long as i can remember i have struggled with this vitamin deficiency and its a big one for everything! It has the ability to reduce a lot of skin and health related issues.

+ All- All in one vitamins are a great way to get all of the vitamins in you, like One a Day.
If you want the specifics of what you should be taking, get your blood tested and it'll let you know all the deficiencies you have. Once you knock that out, beautiful skin and good health will be on your way.
(These vitamins can be taken in pill form, food or even in cream products on the skin; also talk to your doctor or dermatologist to get the best information and criteria for your skin)

Stay Fresh,

Nandos Love

Though not so much healthy...but once in a while it's alright.
Isn't it?
Especially when something is so good, it should be devoured sometimes.
You guys have probably seen this restaurant on our feed numerous times so,
we thought why not write a post about it so that more people would know about this magnificent place...
Nando's

Nando's Chicken and Portuguese Rice

One of the numerous amazing menu designs they have.

  • It has grown so quickly in the past couple of years and has numerous locations around the world like the UAE, Ireland, UK, USA, Singapore, Malaysia and so many more countries. The first time I tried it, it was something way more extravagant for my taste buds, then anything I had ever tasted. Also, I first fell in love with it and ate it first in London!

  • Nando's is a mix of Portuguese and African roots and tastes; with all those wonderful spices combined makes a unique blend, smells and mouthwatering taste. Their specialty is chicken with a collection of amazing sides to choose from. Such as their PERi Chips, Portuguese Rice and Garlic bread which are just some of them. Foreigners really enjoy Nando's because of the flavors which are closely related to foods back home or reminds them of "mom's spices."

Give it a shot once and just like their flavor thermometer, you'll heat up just by hearing its name... you'll want to go over and over again.

Milk?

Everyone knows how good milk is for your body such as getting calcium, vitamin d, strong bones, re-hydration and improvement in vitamin intake. But, milk can also be used for smoother, silkier and healthier skin...

  • Cleanser- instead of using a regular face wash, every night cleanse your face with some milk. It's natural and chemical free so, it won't be harsh on sensitive skin.
  • Exfoliate- It acts as an extremely gentle exfoliator, especially wonderful for sensitive and "young" skin. Make a sugar and honey mixture with milk for a deeper clean.
  • Toner- With its lactic acid features, milk brightens, softens and treats break outs. So, use a cotton pad and a quick swipe all over the face.
  • Natural Masks- Mix a little bit of flour and turmeric with milk/yogurt and you will see the change in your skin. It will be softer, silkier and slowly reduce acne and spots.
Try out milk on your skin for a at least a week and you'll definitely see a huge change. Milk makes the skin silky soft and totally reduces nasty breakouts and spots. And a glass a day doesn't hurt either it'll definitely nourish your insides which is the biggest part to healthy and clean skin.

Rather than Working Out...

Sometime the usual, running on the treadmill, lifting weights and working on machines, gets boring. Overall, going to the gym every day can get a bit restrictive. However, you can get the same results by doing something else rather than going to the same old same old gym. So here are somethings that I like to do, in order to change things up.
  • Go to a Dance Fitness Class
    • Example: Zumba
  •  Go to a Fitness Workout Class
    • Boxing
    • Kickboxing
    • Cycling
    • Cardio
    • Strength Training
    • Aerobics
  • Play Sports
    • Swimming
    • Basketball
    • Football
    • Soccer
    • Tennis
  • Yoga
